Approximately 30 retired Norfolk Southern SD70ACu'swere reportedly sold to Progress Rail and subsequently acquired by Ferromex (FXE) in 2024 fo r rebuilding and deployment in Mexico, with work done by Progress Rail and FXE at their Guadalajara shops.
